Matteucci Garage "Race Cream"
By Anthony van Someren - 19 Oct 13
Marco Matteucci is an Italian photographer specialising in graphics and advertising, with a serious passion for two wheels - a passion which has led him to building this stylish looking Suzuki cafe racer.
This build is the second of four bikes that Marco found in an old dealer. He decided to get stuck in and embark on a cafe racer building "experiment", and from these photos it looks like the experiment has paid-off.
The donor is a 1979 Suzuki GS550. It was completely dismantled as Marco wanted to rebuild the bike from scratch with a lot more attention to detail than his previous builds.
Every component of the bike has been designed and hand-built in Marco's garage from the rear-end and seat to the indented tank with leather inserts, as well as all the instrumentation and lighting. The finished bike has been given the name "Race Cream", which Marco says; "seems kind and candid, but hides a pure racing soul."
Thanks for sharing with all of us at The Bike Shed, Marco. We look forward to seeing what you do next. See more from Marco and Matteucci Garage on their Facebook pages.
